PLANES LIFTED BRIGHTLY IN THE CLEAR SKY

„Flugzeuge hoben hell im klaren Himmel“* (Planes lifted brightly in the clear sky) collects architectural utopias designed for a supposedly empty space outside: satellite cities, eco-cities, terraforming projects, oil platforms. The text by architect Merete Mattern expresses for us the almost naively childlike idea of some of these building projects, that is coordinated quality of life for all living beings on earth.This project is a sketch for a site-specific audiovisual walk that uses sound and augmented reality to make visible the contradictions of such a city-centric design of the supposedly untouched peripheries of the world.
