Ideals of beauty are mechanisms of suppressions with socio-economic value, because being socially accepted as beautiful, opens doors in life. The closer someone is to the ideal of beauty, the more benefits arise. But they are above all patriarchal-capitalist constructs, their norms and prescriptions thrive on their inaccessibility.

Specifically female bodies are being regulated and restricted in this way, not to mention that the work that is put in appearance is costing a lot of time and money. If a "problem" on the female body can no longer be marketed well enough, new absurd norms are created and furthermore money is generated with (mostly female) insecurity. This video work deals with these problems through found footage from various beauty influencers and YouTubers.
