Within the context of the semester topic "Present Future - Video Diaries, Home Movies & Science Fiction", students dealt with the worlds presented in science fiction films and analysed a film of their choice in teams of two. They were asked to describe and illustrate the plot, the characters, the place and time of the action, light and colour design, camera work and camera settings, sound design and montage. Most of them realised a video using film excerpts, stills, text inserts or off-commentary.
The approach was very different and led to exciting formats and insights.
